Red Republic

When you're reading this, chances are you've heard about Red Republic from me personally or else from people who have stuck with me over the years while I went through several unfinished versions. If not just an alpha sign-ups page, this would be a page to thank those people who stuck with me, and who by doing so, became an ever-present motivation to continue working on Red Republic. The list of names would be too long to mention here - but I'm confident you know who you are.

Having said that, I am looking for a small group of dedicated testers for the alpha version of Red Republic. The ideal tester is someone who does not mind playing an unfinished game, looks for bugs and exploits actively, and is generally available often enough to provide constructive criticism and other feedback.

It is very important to realize that while in alpha, the game is extremely unfinished. It is very likely that the gameplay may disappoint because of many features simply not having been finished yet. I don't need people who will walk out on me because of this.

Here's a short list of requirements:

• A certain maturity is expected of all alpha testers.
• Patience and an open mind. Many features are unfinished and are quite likely to remain so for some time. If you think this may bother you, you and me both will be better off when you join the game in a more finished state.
• IRC activity. This is an absolute must - IRC will be our primary means of staying in touch.
• Some expertise in the field of web-development is a plus. It will enable you to more easily assist me in finding bugs. Though this isn't imperative, it is definately something that weighs in.

Important: please note that there are an estimated two more weeks to go before the game will be ready for alpha. This is not an ETA set in stone. It is therefore important that you can be found on IRC, and/or that your e-mail address is correct, or I will be left without a way of getting in touch with you.
